I wanted to ask this as a LOT of my friends are extremely talented artists, but without fail each and every one of them is living in border line poverty!! Most of them are receiving some kind of stipend while managing to sell their art at the occasional show.

It seems that in Australia its hard to earn a living though selling your art alone. Is there anyone out there who is managing it? Or knows someone who is??? Give me hope!!!
