Mellon/Newton Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at the University of Cambridge


Mellon/Newton Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

Applications are invited for two 2-year interdisciplinary Post-doctoral Research Fellowships starting in October 2012 and based at CRASSH. The programme, funded jointly by the Mellon Foundation and the Isaac Newton Trust, is aimed at researchers working in any field of the arts, social sciences or humanities. The fellowships will enable post-doctoral fellows to consolidate their research and publication record while developing a related project or initiative at CRASSH during their two-year fellowship.

Cultural Places initiatives provides a new approach to integrating arts in regional communities


The Australia Council today announced a new initiative in partnership with Arts South Australia and Arts Queensland and local governments to develop two pilot Cultural Places initiatives which aim to strengthen regional Australian communities through arts and cultural projects.

Residency Opportunity for Indigenous Artist or Curator


fortyfivedownstairs, one of Melbourne’s leading independent arts venues, comprises a theatre and two galleries. The Resident Assistant Curator will be working alongside gallery and theatre staff, assisting with the running of a full arts programme in the multiple spaces. The resident will also be highly involved with the delivery of a significant Indigenous visual arts initiative within the gallery.

This full time residency runs for 9 months starting from August 2011. The role is both hands-on and administrative and involves flexible hours.

This is an Identified Indigenous Position, meaning that it is specifically for someone of Aboriginal heritage.
